Hi, my name is Jasmyn, and I am a Canadian undergraduate student in my freshman year who loves to knit! I have been knitting since I was approximately seven years old, and recently have started to pursue an interest in creating and publishing patterns.
Although a large part of my blog is devoted to knitting, please don't be surprised by any other topic that manages to find its way in here! In addition to knitting, I also enjoy photography (though I'm not very good!), reading, camping, and rock climbing.
I finally took pictures of my handspun convertible mittens.
So I realize that this knitting challenge is going to take me a lot longer than 30 days, so hopefully you all can bear with me.
Today’s question: What was your most challenging project?
To be honest, I haven’t had many really tough projects. Many projects will have a section that I don’t understand completely, or a part that I can’t seem to get, but usually once I get past this bit I’m alright.
My most challenging project would have to be the Handspun Convertible Mittens that I made. I was working without a pattern from very chunky handspun yarn, and I believe I was working with needles that were several sizes too small. To add to this, I was making them in the car on the way to Toronto, and so I kept misplacing things that I needed. Overall though, I think they turned out surprisingly well!
