Valentine’s Day

It’s official. I love Valentine’s Day.

.

This is probably due to the fact that I have the most awesome girlfriend in existence. This morning, she gave me the best Valentine’s day present ever… Hedley concert tickets! (They’re coming to my town next week). Not only this, but they are about as close to perfect floor seats as you can get. And she’s had them since OCTOBER… (may I remind everyone that it is now February) … and I had no idea! If I tried to keep a secret for that long I would explode. Boom.

.

Making her present was fun too though, which just adds to the overall happiness factor of Valentine’s Day. I made her a homemade heart-shaped ice cream cake, and chocolate dipped strawberries, and of course a hand-made card. Also, I got a friend of hers to buy her candy-grams at her school for me. However, I just don’t think that I can compete with those tickets! I’ve even been looking at buying some recently, but she managed to talk me out of it somehow. I don’t understand how she does it.

My beautiful girlfriend, outside with me taking photos on a lovely day.

New Sock Pattern

I just wrote an exciting sock pattern! Remember those orange socks I made for my girlfriend for Christmas? I finally got around to writing up the pattern and have now posted it in a testing thread on Ravelry. I’ll let you know when it’s finished, and I’ll add it to my Pattern Downloads page when I can! If you want to test the pattern, go to the Free Pattern Testers group on Ravelry, and search “Toe-up Worsted Weight Ribbed Socks,” or comment on this post and I’ll hook you up!

In other news, I’ve also finished that black scarf for my mom! I’ll post a picture when I can. My computer is broken right now (don’t buy from Dell!), and so I sent it away to get fixed (for the second time). As a result, my files are sort of all over the place right now.

Now, all I’ve got on my needles are those pretty purple gloves that I started in September 2010, with the wool that Kylie got me from Ireland. I’m on the fingers of the final glove!
