Success!
I have finally finished those orange socks that were intended as my girlfriend’s Christmas present. At least she gets them in time for Valentine’s Day!
I think that they turned out pretty well, they are blocking as we speak.

I made the pattern up myself, which could have turned out interestingly, but luckily it went well (for the most part! - at one point, I forgot to write down an important number to make the socks match, but I figured it out).
And speaking of designing patterns, I got my first official pattern tester today! The first (and only) pattern that I have designed so far, which you can find here, “Dad’s Sunglasses Case,” had never been done by anyone but myself, so I decided to post it in a Pattern Testing Group on Ravelry. I though that this would be a good way to gain exposure, as well as to flush out any kinks in the pattern. I posted that well over a week ago, and hadn’t heard anything until today! A lovely person named Elizabeth in the UK said she would test the pattern for me, and I am really excited to see how it turns out!
There have been so many exciting things going on over the past few days, both knitting and non-knitting related!
1. I finished knitting and writing up a new pattern called “Wicked Witch Tea Cozy.” I won’t post photos until I release the pattern, once it’s finished being tested, but if you want to get in on the test knitting action, message me and I can send you a photo! Trust me on this though, it’s pretty cool.
2. I paid my admission deposit at Dalhousie University in Halifax, so I’ll be headed there in September! I also applied for residence, so hopefully I’ll get into my first choice. I’m a Dalhousie Tiger!
3. I finished my cardigan, Abalone. This one I can actually post photos of!

Unfortunately, I’ve made myself not cast on any new projects until my exams are over, but then I’ll be back to my knitting!
What is currently on your needles?
Well, right now I have two projects on the go, actually. The first is a test knit of a baby tunic that I’m working on, but it’s not actually on my needles, as I’m just finishing it now. The second is the second mitten of a mitten pattern that I’m designing, and hope to be done soon!
I will post photos of the test knit as soon as I’m finished. Promise!
Ok, so apparently I’m not so great at remembering to do this everyday. So, I will try my best, but no promises!
Today’s question is, do I have any other works in progress?
I kind of addressed this yesterday, my bad. I am currently working on finishing both my baby tunic test knit, as well as the second mitten of a pattern I am having tested. Pictures will follow as I finish them!
I finally got around to taking photos of my Strimma Tunic test knit!
